Brian Cosma
Is Our Director of Tennis at Sweetwater Country Club. He is a USPTA certified instructor with a “PI” rating, and Wilson Racquet Sports Advisory Board. After completing his degree in recreational management, he has held position at John Newcombes Tennis Ranch, Miracles Hills Golf and Tennis (Omaha, NE), and teaching tennis for the city of Santa Fe (New Mexico). Brian has competed in a variety for tennis tournament from prize money to national junior, including a state finalist in singles (Arizona). His significant accomplishments include the completion of the tennis tech program at Tyler Junior College, finishing first in his class at Vic Braden tennis professional school, and coaching the Marian Girls (Omaha, NE) tennis team to their first state championship. Brian has over 20 years of tennis teaching experience.

Bart Bernstein
Is our Head Tennis Professional at Sweetwater Country Club. He is a native Texan who earned his Bachelors degree in Business Management at Southwest Texas State University. Before moving to Sweetwater, Bart acquired most of his teaching experience from working at various clubs including Barton Creek Country club -Head Tennis Pro, University Houston Clear Lake -Director of Tennis, Texas Christian University -Assistant Coach- Director -Pro, and John Newcombe's Tennis Ranch -Assistant Pro. Some of his accomplishments include: #1 Men's Open Singles in Texas '85, National Collegiate Doubles Champion -NCAA & NAIA '81, National Collegiate Singles Runner-Up-NAIA '81, Collegiate All- American '80 & '81,4 time UIL State High School Champion '74-'77, and USPTA certified teaching Professional- P-1 Rating.

Buck Bernstein
Is a Staff Professional at Sweetwater Country Club. He has twenty-four years teaching and coaching experience. He is a former assistant coach at University of Houston and a former Junior Excellence coach. Buck holds a BA in Business Management at Southwest Texas State University. He is also a former USTA area training center coach, Wilson advisory staff, Former AIA All-American, Former UIL All-American

Robert Plummer
Is a Staff Professional at Sweetwater Country Club.  Robert is from Natchez, Mississippi.  He graduated from Texas Southern University in 1995.  He was a member of the USTA National Mixed Doubles team that were ranked 10.0 Champions in 1998.  Robert was a former top 10 in Men’s 25 Singles in Texas.  He was a coach at Texas Southern University from 2002-2006.  He received his teaching certification through the USPTR. Robert is a member of USTA, HTA, and HPTA.  He focuses on the stroke development and conditioning of our ZAT, Champs, and Superchamp juniors.

Jennifer Sparks
Is a Staff Professional at Sweetwater Country Club.  She is a native Texan and a 2009 graduate of Tusculum College in Greeneville, TN with a bachelor in Sport Management.  Before attending Tusculum she graduated Elkins High School, where she lettered in varsity tennis all four years. Jennifer lead her varsity team in line 1 singles and line 1 doubles all four years.  After graduating from Elkins H.S., Jennifer signed to play for Tusculum College where she played singles and doubles all four years.  During her senior (2009) year she and her partner were the only team in the conference to go undefeated in doubles. She was named to the South Atlantic Conference's (SAC) All-Conference First Team two years running.  In 2008 & 2009 Jennifer led her team to earning back to back automatic bids into the NCAA post-season playoffs. In 2009 her team ended ranked #26 in the nation in Division II Women’s tennis.

Mark Mazique
Is a Staff Professional at Sweetwater Country Club.  He is a Rice University graduate with dual degrees in economics and sociology.  While at Rice he was a varsity member of the tennis team that finished the year ranked number twenty one in the nation.  He was also a state and nationally ranked junior player.  Mark has been teaching tennis since 1986 and been a Sweetwater staff member since 1997.  His teaching philosophy would be described as placing a large emphasis on form and fundamentals while incorporating training that makes the game both fun and challenging for his students.  Because every student offers unique challenges, Mark is constantly growing as an instructor and continually finding new ways to help people learn the game of tennis.

Kristen Samuelson
Is a Staff Professional at Sweetwater Country Club. She is a University of Houston graduate with a degree in Information Systems Technology and a Master’s in Instructional Design & Technology. She was a four year letter winner for the University of Houston tennis team that was ranked in the top 25 of the nation. She was the Southwest Conference Doubles Champion her senior year. Kristen has competed in Texas tennis throughout high school and adult levels, achieving top ten rankings as a junior, high school All-America, competing at the national level, UIL State Semifinalist, NCAA Regional top ten ranking, and the top ranking in Open singles, doubles and mixed. She has coached all levels of juniors including being a head high school and national prep camp coach.
