Who Are We?
On January 28, 1984, the Sweetwater Women's Association (SWA) began its legacy. Attending that first meeting were approximately 50 women who pioneered this group which today has a growing membership of well over 250. Since then, the association has held more than 170 social functions for its members.
Why Join SWA?
Opens the Door to New Friendships
This is a perfect opportunity for women who have just moved to Sugar Land and joined the Sweetwater Country Club to meet fellow members. If you are a long-time member of the club, it is a great way to meet a wide variety of new people. If you just said good-bye to your youngest heading off to school, want a break from your toddler, or a breath of fresh air from a busy day at work, this would be a perfect occasion to meet others just like you. Whatever your situations, SWA opens the door to new friendships.
Offers a Variety of Fun Activities
Luncheons are just one of the many activities offered to you as a SWA member. This group likes to have fun! Our yearly kickoff is the Mother/Daughter Fashion Show featuring our "model" members. We also have luncheons with speakers, shopping excursions, decorating & fashion know hows, and so much more!
A Chance for Country Club Involvement
Many women are members of Sweetwater Country Club but are unsure how to take advantage of its wonderful services. SWA can serve as a bridge to becoming involved. Whether it be attending events and networking with members or actually becoming a SWA board member, your active participation will allow you to feel more involved in the club and community.
